As a management consultant, I have been drawn into the challenge of understanding leadership.  When I found Edward Curtis’s 1800’s black and white images of First Nation/Native American leaders, I could see the concept etched deeply into their faces.

Imagine the responsibility, the angst of finding a path for your people even as they are being wiped out by disease, killed in battle and herded unto reserves.  These men deserve our respect.  They must not be forgotten.

These paintings are not for sale.  It is the age of cultural appropriation and that too I respect. They are shared as part of my quest – each an inspiration as leadership and spirituality converge. The orenda.
